About me

Language and communication are what make interpersonal relationships so exciting. Fascinating, beautiful and above all powerful they come across. But this page is not meant to be an advertisement for the Faculty 10 of the University of Bremen, it simply tells a little bit about me. Well, the passion for language(s) must not be missing.

My professional experience to date extends across a wide range of social areas. Thus I am constantly expanding my horizon and fulfilling my desire to increase my knowledge.

The Beginning

Right after graduating from high school, I started working as a guard at the Focke Museum to finance my studies in linguistics and cultural studies. During my time at the University of Bremen, I also took on a temporary position at the St. Joseph-Stift hospital and reliably filled it for ten years. Above all, the contact with so many different people, all with their own stories and backgrounds, made these activities special. At the University of Bremen, I have been involved in research projects and conference organizations as a student assistant on several occasions. I also have gained experience in market research as a short-term support for the Lifesights Company and in working with children as a support worker for the CITO language tests.

The Middle

After graduating, I worked as a project assistant for the Heinrich Böll Foundation Bremen. In particular, dealing with ecological and current political issues had a deep impact on me and strengthened my desire to make a difference in society. For more than a year, I expanded the foundation's social media channels, organized events, worked with speakers and collaborators, and also took over some of the accounting. I wouldn't disagree if I were told that I'm not necessarily made for low-diversity hermit jobs. In 2020, an exciting year anyway, I eventually trained to become a certified Content Marketing Manager and also seized the opportunity to learn essential skills in using Photoshop and InDesign. Since November 2020, I've been working with and for Bremen's Member of Parliament Maurice Müller, supporting him in online communications for his numerous offices and engagements. At the beginning of 2021, I took over the expertise area of social media in an agency. At DIALOG PR, not only a great view of Bremen's marketplace awaited me, but also a great team that immediately welcomed me warmly. But the call of sustainable engagement could not be ignored. By mutual agreement, the agency world and I parted ways. Instead, I took the opportunity to immerse myself in the exciting universe of Germanwatch e.V.. The tireless work for global equity and the preservation of livelihoods is demanding, but also wonderfully meaningful. Therefore: Observe. Analyze. Act.

The Constant Companion

To me it is important to be flexible, to be open to new experiences and to accept challenges.

Learning is like rowing against the current: if you stop, you drift back.
